About the mosque
The Istanbul Mosque is located in Bogota, Colombia. It was inaugurated in 2004, being the second to be built in the country. It occupies It occupies a three-storey building which has been adapted for its new function, i.e. it was not built with the purpose of being a mosque and therefore does not have traditional elements such as a minaret and dome.
